Short view about Department history:

The Pharmacy Department is founded in 1995 within the building of the Department of Technical Analyzes. This section is forward intended to qualify technical scientific cadres mainly to work in pharmaceutical fields functionally entitled as (pharmacist assistant) cooperatively to work in health institutions.

After two years of qualifying study, the ratio of education and practical training will be about 60% in addition to the summer training, which the student is subjected to accomplish it as a prerequisite of study fulfillment in health departments. Graduates of this section shall be awarded technical diploma in pharmacy. The top successful graduated students in this section have the right to complete their studies in pharmacy colleges in the universities of the country.

Laboratories and workshops:

The Department of Pharmacy includes the following laboratories:

1- Laboratory of Pharmacy

2- Laboratory of chemistry and pharmaceutical chemistry

3- Laboratory of pharmacology and medicines

4- Laboratory of microbiology and physiology

5- Computer Applications Laboratory

6- Scientific research laboratory
