Department of Mechanical Techniques

Branch of Production

1- Vision:

The Department of Mechanics is one of the major technological sections, it goes toward into expanding the base of technical education, and modern applications to be a leader in providing IT services supported the spirit of competition and cooperation in the community.

 2- Message:

The mechanical department adopts a public message based on its general form to the framework of the Technical Education in Iraq.

 It is a message in which the department trying to achieve it every year in order to highlight the discrimination of the section.

Generally its public objective is concentrated on graduating national technical cadres in the level of education and training so that be able to comprehend technique systems and support the process of technical development to keep up with rapid global technological developments.

The special message of the department includes the following:

1- The use of computer technology and the Internet in education and training

2- Activate the relationship with the private sector in the areas of training.

3- Follow the development of curricula, training plans then modernizing the laboratories and workshops.

4- Interact with the labor market and the needs of the community in the rehabilitation and training.

 3- Objective:

The branch of mechanical production aims to prepare the technical staff that does as a link between the specialist and the Handyman, as well as it goes to prepare and make ready the graduate proving him with theoretical, applied and practical information so that be able to implement the works entrusted to him.

 Characterization of graduate work:

The graduate should be qualified to do the following:

1- Work on various metal cutting machines (lathes, milling machines … etc…)

2- The ability to distribute the production processes on the operating components and prepare the path of technological production units to achieve the best method of performance.

3- Work in technological sections, factories and contributing on preparing the operating cards for both workshops and machines according to operation components.

4- Work on the implementation of specificity control and quality control.

5- Do participation and implementation in cases of periodically and emergency to maintain all machines that fall within his competence.

It is established in 1976.
