Nursing Techniques Department
Establishment : 1997 – 1998
Vision: To improve the level of health and nursing services at the three levels (Primary, Secondary, Tertiary) in order to meet the needs of the community and try to strengthen the scientific and research process to keep pace with modern scientific progress by choosing the best scientific methods of modern delivery of good information to students through qualified teaching staff, as well as providing students practical experience through hands-on training in the department’s laboratories and training in hospitals and governmental health centers under the supervision of specialized nursing staff in order to attain specialized scientific and practical staff with a professional background. In addition to the focus of attention on higher ambition to provide the highest quality services and the development of teaching owners and students in the fields of scientific research and knowledge, and expand the horizons of scientific cooperation with the corresponding departments and related institutions to achieve continuous and continuous high quality.

Mission: To raise the scientific, cognitive and skill level of the nurse through a distinguished teaching of the nursing staff to adapt with the variables of community conditions, and provide integrated health care for the individual, family and society, with the commitment to the high responsibility to contribute to building the modern civilization of Iraq and achieving its progress and prosperity. and improving the level of medical and health sciences, developing skills and competencies to serve medical and health specialties, raising the level of health, developing health services in the society, and providing health institutions with a high level of scientific and practical competencies in the fields of development which actively associated with the provision of health and nursing services at the three levels (Primary, Secondary, Tertiary) that meet the needs of the community and serve the public interest. Aim: The aim is to graduate technical nursing staff capable of providing nursing care for the individual, family and community under the supervision of the physicians in the corridors.
Working in statistical sections
The period of study is two years in addition to two months practically should be counted as a summer training period in hospitals of Health Departments and there the student shall acquire the virtual practice which rehabilitating him to his prospective job since then the student shall be rewarded the technical diploma in nursing after finishing all pre-requisites.
