The Department of Civil Techniques consists of sections:
Construction and Construction Branch
Building a system of technical education with an academic, practical and practical framework. The scientific progress in building and construction is based on the comprehensive quality system and performance development based on the needs of the labor market (government sector and the private sector) in order to upgrade this branch to the specialized scientific and international institutions.
2. The message:
Delivering the specialization of construction and construction in technical education to the highest quality by keeping abreast of the developments in the use of modern construction materials and responding to the development of the curriculum in order to equip graduates with skills and experiences that meet the needs of the labor market by adopting the targeted quality of the technical education process.
The objective of the specialization is to prepare qualified technical staff to carry out the implementation of the various civil works by using modern building materials, conducting laboratory and field tests and preparing them to participate in the implementation of maps and land surveys and calculating quantities and loads for civil works projects.
Characterization of graduate work
1. Field and laboratory tests of construction materials.
2 – be able to read and prepare maps and plans for civil works projects.
3 – Implementation of engineering surveys for civil works projects using modern surveying devices.
4 – Implementation of the paragraphs of civil works projects using modern building materials.
5 – Calculation of quantities and loads of civil works projects.
The computer drawing branch is one of the important engineering branches within the Department of Civil Technologies.
The title of the branch was approved by the title above (after the branch of engineering drawing and then the branch of drawing and architectural techniques), due to the urgent need for graduates of this branch after the huge development in the field of computer applications and its uses in engineering aspects, especially in the field of architecture such as design, painting and architectural show and to create cadres Advanced technology is proficient in dealing with advanced software and applications in these important areas.

Therefore, strategies have been developed to deal with such specialization required by the labor market as follows:
1- Vision: Building a technical education system with an academic, practical and practical framework, taking into account the scientific progress in the field of engineering drawing by hand and then using the computer later, based on the comprehensive quality system and performance development based on the needs of the labor market (government sector and the private sector) .
2. The message:
Delivering the specialization of computer drawing in technical education to the highest quality by keeping pace with the developments taking place globally and responding to the development of the curriculum in order to equip the graduates with skills and experiences that meet the needs of the labor market by adopting the targeted quality of the technical education process using the advanced drawing software to develop the skills of the students.
3. Objective: The aim of the specialization is to prepare qualified technical staff to perform the tasks of drawing the various engineering drawings (manually using computer) and the work of models and architectural models with the technical output of the engineering project plans using modern technical methods using computer equipment with the use of modern software for painting and display.
It is known Everyone believes that the completion of these works requires the provision of high-definition computers that enable students to deal with the software and prepare the drawings in a precise and precise manner, so it requires the provision of these advanced devices and a sufficient number to be able to complete the modern vocabulary to the fullest. Finally, the first 10% of the graduates of the branch are received by the departments of architecture in Iraqi universities to complete their studies and obtain a bachelor’s degree in the field of architecture, and there are efforts of the professors to follow the first students during their studies at the college.
Work description of the graduate: – 11- Draw engineering, architectural, construction, electrical, mechanical, sanitary and land survey maps manually using computer. 2- Making architectural models. 3 – Technical output of engineering project plans and using modern software for drawing.
